Mary GalvinI am a PhD scholar in Digital Arts and Humanities, based in the School of Applied Psychology, University College Cork. Having completed a B.A. in Marketing and Languages at Waterford Institute of Technology and a Certificate in Business Studies at the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises, Montpellier, I went on to gain three years industry experience before returning to UCC to complete a Higher Diploma in Psychology.

I am a Waterford native but Cork has been my home for the past seven years. Aside from the academic side of things, I am a lover of music and have served my time with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, during which the piano became my instrument of choice. I also class myself as a novice photographer and hopefully will be brave enough to put some images on the site soon. I’m passionate about people, their stories and how our material environment allows us to express these stories and/ or indeed shape them; narrative, identity, design, experience and evocative objects are my usual vernacular.

Welcome to my site.
